The URBAN TRANSPORT International Salon of Innovations will take place November 22-24, 2017, in Moscow.
November 22-24, 2017, the URBAN TRANSPORT International Salon of Innovations will take place for the first time in Moscow. It has replaced the International Conference and Exhibition ExpoCityTrans, held with the support and participation of the Moscow City Government, State Unitary Enterprise Mosgortrans and State Unitary Enterprise Moscow Metro.
URBAN TRANSPORT is a significant and large-scale event relating to public transport of Russia and the CIS. The salon became an improved replacement of the forum and exhibition ExpoCityTrans, a global event in the world of transport, which had brought together 600 participants from 29 countries of the world in 2016: relevant officials, domestic and international companies and industrial enterprises management, operators, builders and contractors – everyone who sets the development vector in the transport industry.
This year the exhibition has changed not only its name and brand. Apart from external attributes, URBAN TRANSPORT has changed its content as well – the focus is now on public transport innovations. In the 21st century public transport becomes more personalized. To remain competitive, the businesses shall offer a fundamentally different mobility, service and technological support level for passengers. The main objective of the salon is to facilitate qualitative changes in the city transport systems development.
Moscow is one of the largest cities in the world and the second largest city in Europe with its constantly growing transport network and infrastructure. Not incidentally it was chosen the venue of URBAN TRANSPORT. Moscow has a permanent need for progressive innovations, prompt and original solutions in the metropolitan transportation systems development and construction, analysis and discussion of the main urban policy trends, search for new approaches to the transport issues in agglomerations solutions and introduction of personalized services and facilities. These topics should become the key topics of this year’s salon. The current situation in the field of urban transport will be analyzed in three segments: engineering, infrastructure and passenger services.
Heads of transport operators and transport equipment manufacturers, special equipment and components suppliers, software and management system developers, representatives from federal and regional authorities, international experts and researchers will participate in discussions.
Apart from negotiations and discussions of the business program, the salon will present all innovative solutions and achievements in the field of transport maintenance and operation, creative infrastructure and technical developments aimed at the urban passenger transport improvement. Special attention will be given to the latest transport technology samples and vintage exhibits (buses, trolleybuses, trams, suburban rail and light rail rolling stock).
